In 1945, a bond issue was passed, thus making way for the development of a 48 acre land, which is the institution’s present location. In 1933, the Santa Ana High School building was damaged by an earthquake this prompted the campus move to a new location on North Main Street, where it remained before it moved again in 1947. It was Orange County’s second community college, located at the back of Fullerton College, and is California’s 4th oldest community college. Santa Ana Junior College opened its doors to 25 students in 1915 as a Santa Ana High School department.
